Northwest Austin North and South boundaries are from McNeil-Spicewood Springs Road North to FM 620.  The East-West boundaries are Parmer Lane on the East and FM 2222 (Bullick Hollow) and 620 on the South.

Northwest Austin Neighborhoods

At the top end of the price range for northwest Austin real estate is the very desirable neighborhood of River Place.  This neighborhood features gorgeous panoramic views, greenbelts and a golf course designed by Tom Kite.  The River Place Country Club is very popular among the residents.  Schools for River Place are in the Leander Independent School District.

Also at the top end of the price range in Northwest Austin is the coveted neighborhood of Steiner Ranch.  This neighborhood is the home of the University of Texas Golf Club.  Steiner Ranch has many different sections of price ranges and it has condos as well as estate lots.  There is shopping within the neighborhood and the schools within the neighborhood are outstanding and have very high rankings.  Steiner Ranch is also in the Leander ISD.

There are more affordable neighborhoods in Northwest Austin along the 183 corridor.  Balcones Village, with Balcones Country Club and Anderson Mill are both great neighborhoods and are in the Round Rock School District.

Northwest Austin Shopping

Lakeline Mall serves the Northwest Area for shopping, movies, major retail franchises and restaurants.  In this area of Austin, there are all types of businesses and services along with strip centers for retail.   The Arboretum is also a fabulous shopping area.

Northwest Austin Health Care

Seton Northwest Hospital is located in this area on Hwy 183 (Research Blvd.).  It is approximately 15-20 minutes to Austin Hospitals.  There are plenty of doctor offices, dentist offices, etc. located along Hwy. 183 in this area.
